Facts about the new container cranes:
* Two of the world’s most modern , quietest zero emission cranes
* Produced in Hanko, Finland Konecranes Finland Corporation Oy
* The cranes have somewhat greater capacity than today’s cranes and are designed for both single and twin lift.
* Weight approximately 900 tons
* The cranes are approximately 45 meters high to boom (about 90 meters with raised arm)
* Maximum lift height is 33 meters , and they take ships with up to 14 containers wide. Maximum lifting capacity is 85 tons heavy lift hook.
* The cranes will replace the Oslo Airport’s oldest container cranes (STS cranes ).
* The cranes were purchased by the Port Authority , but will be operationally managed by Yilport which is the container terminal operator in Oslo.
* Price – approximately 70 million NOK per crane.
